SDG Basic Lecture

CONCEPT

This is a basic SDG training which includes explaining Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development – including the meaning of sustainable development and transition thinking – and how to get started in your organisation. The content, importance and interlinkages but also potential pitfalls of the SDGs will be explained.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Introduction to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the SDGs
  • Learn the ABC of the Sustainable Development Goals
  • Understand the 5 pillars of strong sustainability (5Ps)
  • Identify the local challenges based on the 17 SDGs
  • Discover concrete examples of Smart & Sustainable Cities & Citizens (participation)
  • Use the SDGs as a holistic assessment framework for sustainable development
