CIFAL Flanders Trajectory
CIFAL Flanders provides training and guidance for its partners to become SDG-proof and thus, as co-creator, contributing to the realisation of the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development.
Our SDG Training Trajectory consists of three consecutive phases: from SDG Pioneer, through SDG Champion, to SDG Ambassador. Each phase requires a higher ambition level for the SDGs in terms of realising the SDGs within the organisation: from strategic implementation (Pioneer) about transition (Champion) to a human rights approach of sustainable development (Ambassador).
For each phase, there is a checklist of tasks to be completed that is clustered around 6 work areas: learning, organising, formulating, implementing, evaluating and communicating (see image).
The realisation of each ambition level is rewarded with a unique UNITAR training certificate (Pioneer, Champion, Ambassador).
Based on experience with many other organisations, it takes an average of 5 to 7 years to achieve the highest level of SDG Ambassador and to be certified as a UNITAR SDG Ambassador.
