At 26/01/2016 CIFAL Flanders held a guest lecture at Transparency International Belgium.  Peter Wollaert, Managing Director of CIFAL Flanders, discussed the different SDGs and the role of Transparency International.

Anti-corruption is also specifically mentioned in the Goal 16 (Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels) of the Sustainable Development Goals under target 16.5: Substantially reduce corruption and bribery in all their forms

The lecture therefore also focussed on the role anti-corruption has in attaining the Sustainable Development Goals and how corruption has proved to be an important obstacle to development.
