By using our services or delivering yours, signing an agreement with us you declare that you have read this Privacy Policy and that you expressly agree to its content as well as to the processing itself. We have the right to change and amend the policy. We will always report substantial changes and amendments on the website.

Which data do we process?

We process your personal data. This is the data that identifies you or establishes a connection with you as a natural person.

Which data we specifically process depends on the services we offer and provide. In most cases, it is data that we need to examine whether you are eligible for our services. These data are defined in the regulations for the service. For each category of personal data, you will find a reference to the regulations. In addition, we process your identification data so that we can provide our service to you.

Training

If you decide to follow a training, with us, e.g., a SDG Masterclass, SDG Bootcamp,… you will need to provide some personal data:  Your name, your email address, your telephone number, the name of your organisation, billing information, the SPOC, your function, and your nationality. This is obligatory to ensure the proper functioning of the training.

To prepare the training we will also need the personal data of the participants: their name, function email address and gender.

These are services included in the founding decree or decision of CIFAL Flanders or in regulations that assign the provision of these services to CIFAL Flanders.

Coaching

If you decide to receive coaching from us, you will need to provide some personal data:  Your name, your email address, your telephone number, the name of your organisation, billing information, the SPOC, your function, and your nationality. This is obligatory to ensure the proper functioning of the coaching

You can provide data. This is not obligatory but this will make it easier for us to provide coaching hat is better suited to your organisation.

Project Development

If you decide to help us guide you in project development, you will need to provide some personal data:  Your name, your email address, your telephone number, the name of your organisation, billing information, the SPOC, your function, and your nationality This is obligatory to ensure a proper project development.

You can provide your gender and your language. This is not obligatory but this will make it easier for us to provide guidance with the project development that is better suited for you and your enterprise.

These are services included in the founding decree or decision of CIFAL Flanders or in regulations that assign the provision of these services to CIFAL Flanders.

Sending a mail, downloading content from our website or providing us with a company card

If you send us a mail, download content from our website or provide one of our employees with your company card, we will process your email address, phone number, first and last name, gender and company name.

We will never use your data for profiling.

Who processes and uses your personal data?

CIFAL Flanders processes your personal data. We don’t use a third party to process your data, unless explicitly stated otherwise. We are responsible for processing your personal data, which is described and explained in this statement.

We always process the data in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation[1] (GDPR or AVG in Dutch), and with the provisions of the federal and Flemish regulations on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data.

When do we collect and process your personal data?

We collect and process your personal data when you request one of our services or contact us in connection with the services we provide. We may also process your personal data if you ask us a general question.

All of the personal data that we will obtain from you will be through your active intervention. We might collect your personal data via e-mail or any other electronic means, via our website, via telephone, via postal services, via your business card you have handed over to one of our employees or representatives.

It is also possible that a governmental decree develops a regulation by which we grant you a benefit or need to impose a disadvantage without you taking any action yourself. We then need to process your personal data to determine whether you are eligible for that benefit, or whether we need to impose a disadvantage, such as a fine, on you.

How do we collect and process your personal data?

We can collect your personal data in different ways:

  • Upon your registration on our website, including the enrolment for our newsletter and/or activities;
  • filling in forms and/or downloading of online materials from our website;
  • Upon engaging in a relationship with you as a partner or customer.

How long do we keep your personal data?

All data is stored and processed by us for a period that is necessary depending of the purpose of the processing and in function of any contractual relationship between CIFAL Flanders and yourself.

According to the general rule, we only keep your personal data for the period necessary to provide certain services. We will keep your data for as long as you use our services. After that, we will keep your data for the period we need to account for the services provided. This period is five years. After expiry of this period of limitation, the data will be deleted.

Do we share your personal data with others?

Your data is mainly processed internally by our employees.

It is possible that for certain specific services we call on third parties to process your data. We provide your data to these processors so that they can provide the service in question. We exercise control over this at all times.

In order to process your personal data, we may grant access to your personal data to our employees and appointees (including processors or sub-processors).

We guarantee a similar level of protection by making contractual obligations enforceable against these employees and appointees such as required by the GDPR. We do not transfer your data to countries outside the European Union or international organisations. We will not sell your personal data, nor rent, distribute or otherwise make commercially available to third parties, except as described above or with your prior consent.

How is your personal data protected?

CIFAL Flanders uses security measures in order to avoid the loss, destruction, falsification, modification or unauthorized access by third parties of personal data collected as well as any other unauthorized processing of the data. However, under no circumstances can CIFAL Flanders be held liable for any direct or indirect damage resulting from incorrect or unlawful use of your personal data by a third party.

What are your rights?

You have the right to receive free access to your personal data at any time, as well as to be informed of the use we make of your personal data.

You are free to decide not to communicate your personal data to us. You also have the right to request us to correct or delete your personal data. You may also request to limit the processing of your personal data.

You also have a right of opposition to the processing of your personal data for serious and legitimate reasons. In addition, you always have the right to oppose the use of your personal data for direct marketing purposes. You have the right to obtain your personal data processed by us.
