FLEMISH GOVERNMENT DETERMINES PRIORITIES FOR A MORE SUSTAINABLE WORLD

The Flemish government has published  Vizier 2030 (Dutch), a vision statement on sustainable development and the SDGs. The Flemish governments’ ambitions for an open and international Flanders translate into seven transitionary priorities, with the Agenda 2030 and the SDGs as common thread. These seven priorities are to operate as accelerators in both the achievement of Flanders’ 2050-ambitions and the Agenda 2030.

FLANDERS’ OWN AGENDA 2030

The Flemish government also formulated 49 sustainable development goals of their own to be achieved by 2030.These objectives are closely connected to sectoral long term policies that are being established at the moment, such as the Energy and Climate plan 2021-2030. After the approval of these policies they will be integrated with Flanders’ 2030 objectives.
