‘Gent en Garde’, Ghent’s urban food policy, has been honoured with one of this year’s UN Glombal Climate Action Awards. These awards highlight practical examples of what people around the world are doing to combat climate change. Winning projects range from an in-app mini-program that helped to plant 122 million trees to a ‘climate positive’ burger taking the fast-food industry by storm. The award will be officially handed over in December at the UN Climate Conference in Chile (COP25).
