Action Learning Seminar: Social and Environmental risks of International Busines
06-06-2015, 08:00 —17:00
CIFAL Flanders, in close collaboration with Flanders Investment & Trade and the Belgian National OECD-Contactpoint, organized an Action Learning Seminar revolving the international aspects of Corporate Social Responsibility for companies that buy, export or produce abroad.
Many companies underestimate the social and environmental risks of products that are made in several foreign countries. Especially Retail companies and producers of consumer goods are often not acquainted with the environmental and social risks.
Therefore the seminar focussed on the following questions:
- What are the most important econonomic, social and environmental risks for international business? And how can your company use the MVO Risico Checker to notify and tackle these risks?
- What are the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals and how can they strenghthen your business plan?
- What are the OECD Guidelines on Multinational Enterprises, and how does the National Contactpoint Belgium work?
