Learning Network SD for Flemish Agencies

CONCEPT
On 24 June, the Learning Network on Sustainable Development for Flemish Agencies held its first session of the year in Brussels. Supported by a project grant from the Flemish Government, the session focused on sharing best
practices and knowledge on both internal and external sustainability. It included expert advice to enhance understanding and promoted cooperation between entities in implementing sustainable practices.

Participants were asked to sit in groups to get to know each other and discuss sustainability initiatives within their agencies. The groups focused on topics such as policy, cooperation with municipalities, sustainability
of subsidies, social sustainability, sustainable purchases, and measurement of sustainability instruments.
Sustainability Instruments
The session continued with speakers from various agencies sharing insights on different instruments for sustainable development. They discussed Criteria for Socially Responsible Public Procurement (SRPP), CSDR, and Sustainability
Benchmarking.
Alexander Lemmens, a Lawyer at the
Facilities and Services Department, gave a presentation on the
CSR criteria tool. He also discussed the Criteria for Socially Responsible Public Procurement (
SRPP), highlighting its importance and application.
