Eco-Schools is a fundamental initiative which encourages young people to engage in their environment by allowing them the opportunity to actively protect it. In Flanders, 45 schools have been awarded with international Green Flag Eco-School Quality Label by Flemish Minister Environment and Agriculture, Joke Schauvliege.
Worldwide, already 15.000 Green Flags have been awarded to schools in 58 different countries. Eco-Schools is an international programme of the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE).
