On the 05 and 06 November 2024, Brussels, Belgium – the SDG Forum will take place in the heart of Brussels at Flagey. In light of this, is inviting organisations to contribute to a global dialogue on accelerating sustainable solutions. This year’s forum will focus on implementing long-term sustainability initiatives efficiently and inclusively, connecting professionals from government, business, academia, and civil society.
Organisations interested in leading a session are encouraged to submit their workshop proposals to drive discussions and inspire actionable change within the global SDG community. This is an essential opportunity to lead discussions and inspire actionable change in the global SDG community. Proposals should be submitted no later than June 15, 2024. The steering committee of the SDG Forum will evaluate all submissions, and selected organisations will be notified by mid-July. This open call presents a significant opportunity for leaders in sustainability to contribute meaningfully to the global SDG agenda and make a tangible impact on our collective future.
Adding to the programme’s richness, CIFAL Flanders as part of the working group, will organise a workshop focused on stakeholder engagement. This session will also see the launch of CIFAL’s new practical guide to stakeholder engagement: from selection method to organising stakeholder panel to effective long-term collaboration, designed to further enrich participant understanding and engagement in SDG initiatives.
Background of the SDG Forum Belgium
The SDG Forum is an annual event with the mission of advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in a manner that is inclusive and accessible to all. As the principal multi-stakeholder forum on SDGs in the Benelux region, it successfully engages a diverse range of sectors and addresses numerous themes critical to sustainable development.
Organised collaboratively by leading partner organisations from across the sustainable development spectrum, the forum is known for its unique ability to connect a wide array of participants. It brings together policymakers, business leaders, non-governmental organisations, and academics, fostering a dynamic environment for the exchange of ideas and solutions related to the SDGs.
