RJC is very excited to invite you to our two-part webinar series, introducing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These 17 goals covering social, economic and environmental areas, were developed by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity.

How does this apply to me and my business?

Aren’t these goals just for governments?

What do these goals have to do with the jewellery industry?

Over the two-part webinar series, our speakers will explain what the SDGs are and how the jewellery industry (including your business) can positively contribute to them.

Part 1: Purpose and aims of the SDGs
Thursday 1 March 2018
13:00 – 14:00 GMT

In part one, we will hear from Peter Wollaert – CIFAL Flanders (CIFAL provides training on UN initiatives) and Karla Basselier – Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC). They will present the purpose and aims of the SDGs, and the potential role of business to contribute to them. With so many goals, Karla will help us unpack which ones can be impacted by jewellery companies, including yours.

Across this two-part series, you’ll learn how businesses can have a positive influence on the SDG agenda and ultimately ‘improve life, in a sustainable way, for future generations’.

There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions following the discussion during both webinars.
